Collage

For my collage, I have "me" with a blindfold and the message, "Whole lot of hope, feel like I can cover my eyes and lead the blind." That quote is from my favorite song at the moment and the blindfold is made of a different message I made by using newspaper. I decided to make the lips a zipper because my hope doesn't come from my words but more so from my mindset.

Embracing Culture: Latin Festival

I attempted making a colorful chihuahua. I filled the surrounding space with different colored polka-dots and named the chihuahua "Chica." If I could redo this, I would have drawn a more realistic body and tried to brighten the colors to make them stand out more. 

Watercolor Leaves

This was my first time using water color pencils and water color (for a project). I am not a fan of how it turned out but over the course of painting it, I got better with using water color.

Warm/Cool Color Trees

I wanted to make the grid tree from the references and I like how it turned out. I added the silhouette of the girl on the bench to fill more space and the trunk of the tree has mixed designs to make it distinct from the rest of the background.

Complementary Color Animal

This is "Chilly Willy" and I used blue and orange for my complementary colors. I think he looks decent but I could work on my blending, its tough using paint.

Autobiography

This is my autobiography drawing. You can see a soccer ball to represent that I play soccer, "My Singing Monsters" because that is my favorite game (there are 2 characters from it at the bottom), my favorite colors, YouTube, makeup, buffalo chicken wings, "Shameless" (my favorite Netflix series) and a few other random things I felt could represent me. I didn't want to draw my actual face because I knew I wouldn't get the features right but I felt that my eyebrows and hair are some distinct features I have.
