Coffee Shop Drawing

I drew this for the Coffee Shop. Its simply a hand holding a cup of coffee with “Red White & Brew” written on the mug.

Choice Project

This is my unfinished choice project. I turned "Bali Baby" into a cartoon and added a drink pouring into her head and gave her "drippy" eyes. I wish I would've done her hair differently and her skin but I could still fix these.

Inside Out Painting

I painted a skeleton with one side growing flowers and the other side rotting. To me this represented inside out because a person who was good on the inside could grow and impact life on the outside but someone who wasn't would not grow but would decay.

This is my About Me project. I drew Lisa Simpson as a referee for soccer because
I love the show "The Simpsons", playing soccer and drawing characters.

Art Critique

Image result for Mountain Retreat bob ross

This is a Bob Ross painting called "Mountain Retreat." It's a landscape painting that contains a small wooden house in the woods by a stream and mountains in the background. It doesn't  have an actual color scheme but it uses natural colors and shading to bring out certain areas of the painting.

Bob Ross used monochromatic green to  make the trees and grass surrounding the painting and a pale blue that fades into a yellow for the stream. He used neutral colors to create the mountains in the distance and the little house to the left side of the stream. He also uses shading and one point perspective to make the painting look more realistic and create depth. This is a great quality painting and has a lot of overall details.

I don't believe this painting has an underlying meaning. However, someone just looking at this painting would sense a feel of peace and relief. Hence the name of the painting, this would be viewed as a retreat maybe from ones worries or stress and the painting brings a feeling of calmness. That can be interpreted as its meaning, but it can honestly mean something different for anyone who looks at it.

I think this is a good quality painting. It doesn't have a specific meaning to me, but I think it brings a sense of peace. My favorite kind of paintings are landscapes and I think this one was well put together. I also like the type of area it portrays and the different aspects of art he used to create the painting (such as the perspective and shading).
